No, it's predominantly China, where it's easy to run a sweatshop full of employed gold farmers due to the lack of human rights oversight and prevalence of local government corruption, and South Korea where MMOs are very popular and there's a high incidence of "addiction" among players.

Anet needs to combine all of them. The Guild Wars player base is so small now we should just make it all universal! (Divide by continents now, like North America, Europe, Asia) As much as country special districts are, I hardly ever see more than 1 districts worth of french/german, and usually the russian/polish districts are empty.

I wonder if this has to do with the fact that Japanese pay for Guild Wars monthly...*ponders*
But yeah, hopefully they can join the rest of the world.

I agree. Let the Japanese out to play!
Also, why is Japanese the only spoken language I can't set the game's dialogue to? You're not telling me that the Japanese version of the game doesn't have voice acting, and I can set it to everything else from Spanish to Korean, so why not Japanese, darn it?

China is the other one left.
It seems that they will never join others. They are separate forever due to Chinese laws. I think that they can't even enter International districts.
But I hope they give us soon the Japanese people, I want to bother them with questions like a child. And tell them the difference between different lands of Spain. When I saw the amusement park set in Spain I almost cried blood. It was all messed up!
We HATE bullfights in Galicia! An we have muñeira and bagpipes! Not flamenco and Spanish guitar!
Like putting Liberty Island in California and Hollywood in New Jersey, or putting Naha in Hokkaido and Sapporo by Kyoto...
It was horrible... T-T...
...
What was I talking about?

I'm sure that they're working on it, it's been in plan for a while now, and it's announced as well:

Gotta be patient.

i really hope im wrong but i doubt the Japanese will ever be included. Keep this thread running long enough one of the PR people may show up and provide us with some misinformation and a few good laughs.

think i remember guild wars packaging having large font claims of global epicness plastered all over them.

To the Japanese: I'd say you hold on to a good thing while you have it. The world out here is not pretty. Granted, it might be pretty bad in there also, but at least you won't be adding to the problem. Honestly, integration with the global GW 'community' (hah, right) has absolutely nothing to recommend it.
Especially with people like the above who just want Japanese guild tags, for reasons best left to them.

I guess that is the way they operate in Japan....I just don't see how all the people in Japan like the subscription model. That's what made it so popular in the States and elsewhere....
But it would be nice to play in the Japanese district, considering it is the only other language I can understand. /signed
Boku wa nihonjin to issho ni osobitai desu!! (I want to play with Japanese people!)
EDIT: For those who can't understand, nekopowa said don't be impatient and that (s)he is not Japanese, but understands it(?) (I think, not sure about the last part, don't know those characters)
